Dr. Avya Bansal is a renowned Consultant Pulmonologist and Sleep Medicine Specialist practicing in Mumbai. He is attached to the Bombay Hospital & Medical Research Centre, Mumbai, and serves as an Honorary Pulmonologist for the Mumbai Police Hospital, Nagpada. He trained at KMC, Manipal, where he received the Sir Ratan Tata Scholarship, and completed his MD at JNMC, Belagavi, where he topped the university. He has been awarded the Fellowship of the Asian Pacific Society of Respirology and the MNAMS degree by the National Board of Examinations.

Dr. Bansal has delivered over 100 national and international talks, is actively involved in research, and received the ERS-ICS Best Paper Grant at the ERS Congress in 2019. Passionate about adult vaccination and pulmonary rehabilitation, he helped set up the Adult Vaccination OPD at Bombay Hospital. He was also recognized by ET-Times Now as an Inspiring Respiratory Specialist of India in 2024. His areas of interest include airway diseases, ILD, and obstructive sleep apnea.
