Hailing from a humble background in the island city of Mumbai, he completed his graduation with the prestigious Kasturba Medical College, Manipal followed by his MD and DNB in Respiratory Medicine in Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Belagavi and Government Medicine College, Trivandrum respectively. He is one of the youngest recipients in the world of the prestigious Fellow of the Asian Pacific Society of Respirology, FAPSR.
After outstanding results, he moved on to become a Clinical Associate in Bombay Hospital & Medical Research Centre. He then went on to start his private practice at the same institute and has an evening opd at his clinic in Bandra West.
